Statistics

The Statistics module provides options to generate general statistics and create graphs of data values produced within Vulcan. Data can be sourced from map files, drill and samples databases, gridded data and block models. In addition, simple expressions can be established to compute derivative data prior to generating univariate statistics. Outputs include: average, standard deviation, median, skewness, geometric mean, harmonic mean, mean of logs, variance of logs, kurtosis, Sichel T, median, quartiles and a percentage distribution listing.

Supported graph types within the Statistics module include:

• One-Way and Two-Way ANOVA
• Box plot
• Histogram
• Cumulative and log normal probability
• Line, Multiline and Scatter plot
• Pie chart
• PP and QQ plot
• Ternary

The resulting plots can be output to Vulcan layers, postscript format and .xls files. (see images below, click to enlarge)
